Dojo located in Cambridge Park

Kyokushin Karate was founded by Sosai Masutatsu (Mas) Oyama, who is regarded as the greatest martial artist of the 20th Century.

Karate is far deeper than punches and kicks, Kyokushin Karate is Budo karate, or in plain English, a way of life that will help you achieve success outside of the dojo (training hall). Sure you will get fit, flexible and gain confidence, however its taking the skills and knowledge and applying them outside of the dojo that will provide the greatest benefit.

Mas Oyama was born in 1923 and passed away in 1994 having achieved so much in his relatively young 70 years. He has left a lasting legacy on the world of martial arts and specifically Karate. Sosai challenged the establishment and suggested that if karate was not tested and proven to work it was nothing more than dance steps. Kyokushin is for everyone, not just the young and fit. It offers so much more than just hard training and fighting. The only way you will know if you like Kyokushin Karate is to come and give it a go. That's why we offer two free lessons, there is nothing to lose and everything to gain.
